We are still around and are still working on content, just not in the manner or capacity we traditionally have. The unfortunate reality is our team is no longer the proper size, nor does it have the resources to complete commissions, request, or large-scale projects. We can not feasibly produce the volume of content expected of us with only two artists, one of which can only create conceptualizations, and both of which have full-time obligations outside of the Vinfreild Group. Our ability to maintain our social channels and other internet outlets is in the same predicament. Additionally, due to controversies over Nintendo's Intellectual Property becoming increasingly heated as of late, we have made the decision to greatly reduce our efforts to create derivative artworks of their content. Lastly, to adhere to copyright law and respect Nintendo's Intellectual Properties, our related fan games, programs (such as VDP), and software have been placed on indefinite hiatus.
On another note, we greatly appreciate everyone's enthusiasm to utilize our models and renders in their own creative ways. However, to protect ourselves and everyone else, we cannot distribute our models to the public. As we have no way to monitor or control whether our models would be used for good or not, we have determined the outcomes of doing so to be both content saturation and brand obfuscation, in which Nintendo's Intellectual Property becomes confused or defamed by our works on a mass scale. Our main goal here is to prevent legal issues from arising.
We still plan on releasing content where possible, but at a greatly reduced frequency. We are also looking at changing our website host so we can provide a full gallery of our content (including things we never published), as well as offer SSL security for our visitors.
We would like to offer our apologies again to our fans. Your questions and comments are welcome and appreciated.
