This is a work-in-progress video of our Play as Uriel Septim mod for the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Originally released by Baelin&Lonuma in 2009 on the Elder Scrolls Nexus as "Look Like Uriel Septim", the mod received frequent updates until November 2012 when it was placed on indefinite hiatus.
In our efforts to re-mobilize the Baelin&Lonuma work group, we are developing a complete overhaul of the mod for version 5.0. We hope those still playing Oblivion, and those who frequently return to the game as a favorite, will enjoy our carefully crafted revision to our most popular mod.
This video is a work in progress, and showcases our work on:
• The Emperor's Private Chambers
• The Blades
• The Dialogue we have reconstructed
• The new Imperial Dragon Armor Stand
• The Following and Escort system.
We started development by wiping out the majority of the old assets completely, preserving only the essential data within the mod. From there we have rebuilt it from the ground up - from the custom Blades NPCs, to the Emperor's Chambers, to the utilization of Patrick Stewart's voice clips, to the Emperor's Command Book (replacing the "Speak Item Crystal Ball"). In addition to the new content added, we have addressed countless bugs and conflicting audio clips which address the Emperor as being dead.
*Not all audio files have been mapped to the Blades' Orders menu, so some lines within the video will appear silent. We have made scripting adjustments to make the Blades recognize when the player is moving in the opposite direction during an escort package, and update their package to follow the player accordingly.
This video and the depicted mod were co-developed by Baelin&Lonuma and the Vinfreild Group. "Play as Uriel Septim" is the mod depicted herein, and is in the beta stages of version 5.0. This video is a work in progress.
