Goodnight, Miiverse...

Tonight, the seventh of November of the year 2017, Nintendo's Miiverse will come to an end.

While the life of this network comes to a close, a forlorn feeling is left behind. Less than five years ago, on the eighteenth of November of the year 2012 in the early hours of the morning, I was granted the opportunity to stand in-wait at a local Walmart store and obtain one of the first Wii U systems. It was in these early hours that I joined Miiverse and new ways to share, interact, and make friends were born unto me. From this moment I watched the social platform grow, change, diversify, and eventually devolve. The cultural variety that this network has been home to is truly unique and irreplicable. The only question now remaining is where will it go? Only time will tell; for now, we put Miiverse to rest.
