February 26th, 2014 @ 11:22pm Kyoko Lasha, an eternal member of our creative family, has moved her website from it's normal google sites address to http://kyokolasha.rollenia.com as of today! For those of you who don't know who Kyoko Lasha is, she has been with us since the very beginning and way before! Her site hasn't been given much attention for around 3 - 3.5 years however. Read about what Kyoko's Lasha's Novels is here at the Vinfreild Archives. February 19th, 2014 @ 11:51 PM When re-constructing Princess Peach's bedroom from Paper Mario, we wanted to make new dresses rendered in a higher resolution to display in the room. Instead of using the same dress numerous times like before (there is a pun about it in the actual Paper Mario game), we decided to incorporate five different outfits and outfit variations she has worn throughout the series in the room. These are all redesigns of the base of her classic dress. The GC-Wii era dress is a re-patterned version of our classic dress. We hope to make an actual GC-Wii era dress soon with the right structures. February 19th, 2014 @ 4:14 PM What you see above is the result of many hard hours of work and test rendering. The above image uses our new indirect lighting methods and incorporates our older lighting methods subtly too. With our new knowledge and practice with Blinn shader methods and cubic interpolation, we were able to generate quite a nice result with very smooth and appealing shading transitions, as well as rougher looking shadows where needed. We are always looking for new ways to improve our computer modeling and rendering skills. Who knows what we'll discover next! CGI and model created by and © Vinfreild with Rollenia. Princess Peach character and concept created by and © Nintendo/Shigeru Miyamoto February 17th, 2014 @ 5:54am Vinfreild is a proud user and supporter of the Blender Foundation's 3D Software, and uses it as the primary development tool for our CGI department. Additional Announcements: Today Vinfreild adopts Blender 2.69, replacing its established use of Blender 2.65 since around the time of its release in 2012. February 10th, 2014 @ 1:05am |
